Brenner was born on June 27th at St. Luke's Hospital and was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. For the first six years of his life, he was nonverbal, and doctors predicted he would never talk or be able to do many things independently. However, Brenner defied these expectations. He learned sign language to communicate and, over time, worked hard to overcome the challenges doctors said he wouldn’t be able to conquer. Not only did he eventually find his voice, but he also graduated from high school, walking across the stage by himself, a testament to his perseverance. Brenner has a deep love for all things Nintendo, enjoys playing and collecting decks of cards, and is an avid fan of Final Fantasy computer games. He’s notorious for being brutal when it comes to a game of UNO. His favorite foods are pizza, cheeseburgers, and Bob’s Fried Potatoes. Brenner's journey is proof that you should NEVER SAY NEVER.
Four years ago, the idea for “A Dance In The Park” was born from the heart of Brenner. His vision was to create an event that brought the community together to dance with passion, and it has since grown into a beloved tradition. This event now brings joy and fosters inclusivity for adults with disabilities through music, dance, and games.
A message from Mr. Brenner: "Always remember to reach for the stars."
Brenner had the meaningful opportunity to speak in front of our Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Silverhawk Realty Agents, family and Affiliates from across southern Idaho, sharing the heart behind his "why"—why this dance matters, and why it holds such deep personal significance for him. Please see below the hand written version of this speech.
Take a moment to listen as he shares his “why”—a message that comes straight from his heart and soul.
We wanted to share his actual handwritten speech as a beautiful reminder of the incredible dedication and deep love he has for this event. Brenner wrote every word himself, straight from the heart. In it, he shares the “why” behind this dance—why it matters so deeply to him and the personal meaning it holds.
This year, Brenner was honored with the Star Award, awarded by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Silverhawk Realty, a recognition of how he has changed the lives of so many through his passion, presence, and heart. His words—and his story—are a powerful glimpse into the impact one person can have when they lead with love.
Brenner was featured as KTVB’s 7’s Hero and had the incredible opportunity to meet and be interviewed by Maggie O’Mara! During the interview, he shared his dream and passion for "A Dance In The Park," speaking from the heart about uniting the community through music and movement, and showing just how much this event means to him.
We were beyond excited to welcome Dillon Sanders, aka DJ Big D, to the party this year! Dillion was absolutely amazing and made our dance an unforgettable experience! He kept the energy high all day with the perfect mix of music that had everyone on the dance floor. His transitions were seamless, his timing was spot-on, his interactions were incredible and he really knew how to read the crowd. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ—Dillion truly brought the party to life!
In addition to dancing, we offer more activities for those who want to take a break and try something a little different.
Cornhole
Quiet Areas
Bubble Booth
