Our “A Dance In The Park” - Hosted by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Silverhawk Realty - event is a joyful, community-focused celebration created especially for adults with disabilities. It provides a welcoming space for them to dance, play games, make new friends, and socialize in a judgement-free environment - a place where they can truly feel “FREE TO BE”!
After five hugely successful years, we’re excited to take it to the next level, bringing together more individuals from across the Treasure Valley. With a DJ, games, photo booth, refreshments, and more, we aim to create an inclusive, enjoyable experience for all.

RSVP’s will open April 15, 2027
RSVPs open April 15th each year, and the dance typically takes place on the 2nd or 3rd Friday of June.
** This event is completely FREE to attend, with all food, drinks, and activities included at no cost - YES, everything is FREE!! :)
** ALL attendees must RSVP to attend. Release forms are part of the RSVP forms and must be signed for everyone who attends either individually or as a group. You can fill out one (1) form for small or large groups as long as everyone attending is listed with first and last names.
Our goal is to create a judgment-free space where everyone can relax, socialize, and simply have fun. We’ve reached out to facilities, group homes, foster homes, and community organizations throughout the Treasure Valley to make sure everyone feels welcome and included. This is a day to laugh, dance, connect, and celebrate each other in a space built on joy, acceptance, and belonging. Come join us for a high-energy day of celebration, friendship, and unforgettable moments, because everyone deserves a place to feel valued and celebrated.
This event is wheelchair accessible. While we'll have volunteers on hand to facilitate activities, attendees should be able to meet their own needs or bring a caretaker/staff member with them.
**Gluten-Free and Sugar-Free desserts will be provided.
MEET BRENNER
Brenner was born on June 27th at St. Luke's Hospital and was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. For the first six years of his life, he was nonverbal, and doctors predicted he would never talk or be able to do many things independently. However, Brenner defied these expectations. He learned sign language to communicate and, over time, worked hard to overcome the challenges doctors said he wouldn’t be able to conquer. Not only did he eventually find his voice, but he also graduated from high school, walking across the stage by himself, a testament to his perseverance. Brenner has a deep love for all things Nintendo, enjoys playing and collecting decks of cards, and is an avid fan of Final Fantasy computer games. He’s notorious for being brutal when it comes to a game of UNO. His favorite foods are pizza, cheeseburgers, and Bob’s Fried Potatoes.
Brenner's journey is proof that you should NEVER SAY NEVER.
Four years ago, the idea for “A Dance In The Park” was born from the heart of Brenner. His vision was to create an event that brought the community together to dance with passion, and it has since grown into a beloved tradition. This event now brings joy and fosters inclusivity for adults with disabilities through music, dance, and games.

Brenner had the meaningful opportunity to speak in front of our Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Silverhawk Realty Agents, family and Affiliates from across southern Idaho, sharing the heart behind his "why"—why this dance matters, and why it holds such deep personal significance for him. We wanted to share his actual handwritten speech as a beautiful reminder of the incredible dedication and deep love he has for this event. Brenner wrote every word himself, straight from the heart. What makes it even more remarkable is how the reporter found Brenner, organically through a Google search, which is no easy feat in today’s crowded digital space. Out of countless stories, his stood out. That moment has helped shine a national spotlight on “A Dance In The Park”, elevating its mission of creating connection, joy, and inclusion for adults with disabilities, and showing just how powerful this event truly is within our community and beyond.

During the interview, he shared his dream and passion for "A Dance In The Park," speaking from the heart about uniting the community through music and movement, and showing just how much this event means to him.

“My son has changed programs a few times to move closer to possible employment in the community, so saying goodbye to friends that he has made each time has been hard…. There are not a lot of events this far out of Boise and with “Dancing in the Park” he is able to reunite with these friends which is important in building social behavior and confidence by empowering more independence. He has such a great time dancing and having fun and I love seeing the smile on his face…I hope it continues to grow and reaches more people who are looking for actives for their loved ones.” - Victoria Miller

DJ Big D – Dillon Sanders
Music That Brought the Park to Life
The music is more than just background noise at “A Dance In The Park”. It sets the tone, fills the park with energy, and creates the soundtrack for memories that will last a lifetime.
We were incredibly honored to have Dillon Sanders, better known as DJ Big D, return for A Dance In The Park 2026. Even more meaningful, Dillon generously volunteers his time and talents each year, giving his heart to this event simply because he believes in its mission. His gift is one that hundreds of participants, families, and volunteers enjoy throughout the day, and we are beyond grateful for his continued support.
From the very first song to the final dance, Dillon created an atmosphere that was electric. His perfectly curated playlist, seamless transitions, and ability to read the crowd kept the dance floor full and the smiles endless. Every song seemed to arrive at exactly the right moment, creating a celebration where everyone felt invited to join in.
Helping keep that excitement alive was our incredible hype man and friend, DJ Casper, whose infectious energy and enthusiasm brought an extra level of fun to the event. Whether he was encouraging dancers, celebrating participants, singing along, or interacting with the crowd, DJ made everyone feel like the star of the show along with Dillon. His joyful spirit was contagious, and his connection with our guests created countless unforgettable moments throughout the day.
Dillon's passion for inclusion extends well beyond our event. Since around 2014, he has volunteered as a DJ for Special Olympics Idaho, providing music and entertainment for the Summer State Games and many other events that celebrate athletes and build community.
Together, Dillon and DJ didn't just provide music and entertainment. They created an atmosphere where confidence grew, friendships formed, laughter echoed across the park, and every person felt celebrated exactly as they are.
Their generosity, talent, and servant hearts helped make “A Dance In The Park” 2026 an unforgettable celebration, and we are deeply grateful for everything they brought to this very special day.

We were thrilled to welcome Ashley Pineda, owner of Smile ‘N’ Sweets, LLC, for her very first year at “A Dance In The Park”. She brought an incredible level of creativity, energy, and professionalism that immediately elevated the guest experience and helped capture the heart of the day in such a meaningful way.
Her interactive photo setup quickly became a favorite stop throughout the event. With fun props, high-quality photography, instant sharing, and custom designs, Ashley created a space where guests could easily step in, let loose, and celebrate the moment.
From big group laughs to quiet, candid smiles, she did an amazing job making everyone feel comfortable, included, and seen. What she created wasn’t just a photo booth experience, it became a living part of the joy and connection happening all around the park.
We are so grateful she chose to be part of our 2026 celebration, and her impact will absolutely be remembered long after the music ended. 💃✨

Inspired by Brenner's love for games and meaningful connections, Brenner's Calm & Card Table provides a peaceful space for guests who may need a quieter moment during the event. Whether it's playing a game of Solitaire, visiting with friends, or simply taking a break from the music, this welcoming area reminds everyone that every guest experiences joy in their own way, and every way is celebrated.
From dancing and games to art and quiet conversation, every activity at A Dance In The Park is thoughtfully planned to ensure everyone feels included, comfortable, and part of the celebration. After all, the best memories are made when everyone has a place to belong. 💙

Their kindness, creativity, and willingness to give create a display that brings smiles to hundreds of guests and reminds us what community is all about.

We're especially grateful to the Homedale High School Girls Basketball Team, who returned for their third consecutive year to serve our guests with smiles, enthusiasm, and incredible kindness. Their energy and dedication help make this experience even more special, and we're thankful they continue to be part of our event.

If there is one thing we hope every person took home from A Dance In The Park 2026, it was the feeling of being loved.
That feeling didn't happen by accident. It was created by an extraordinary group of volunteers who gave something far more valuable than their time. They gave their hearts.
From the moment guests arrived until the very last chair was folded, our volunteers were everywhere. They greeted people with genuine smiles, offered helping hands without being asked, danced with those who didn't want to dance alone, celebrated every laugh, and made sure every guest knew they belonged. Their kindness became the heartbeat of the entire day.
For many of our participants, this isn't simply another community event. It's a day where they are celebrated, included, and embraced exactly as they are. Our volunteers made that possible. Through countless small acts of kindness, they created moments that will be remembered long after the music faded.
Among this incredible group were a couple of girls and their coaches from the Homedale High School Girls Basketball Team and two wonderful students from Skyview High School, whose compassion and enthusiasm touched so many lives. Whether they were serving Italian sodas, helping throughout the park, dancing beside participants, or simply sitting down to share a conversation, they brought joy everywhere they went.
There is something incredibly hopeful about watching young people choose to spend their day serving others. In a world that often moves too fast, these students chose compassion. They chose connection. They chose to invest their time in making someone else's day brighter. They reminded all of us that kindness has no age and that the future is incredibly bright when young hearts lead with love.
Every volunteer who stood beside us became part of something much bigger than a single event. They helped create a place where differences disappeared, friendships were formed, confidence grew, and every person was reminded that they matter.
To every volunteer who gave your time, your energy, your patience, your laughter, and your heart... thank you. You didn't just help make this event a success.
You helped create a day where hundreds of people felt seen, valued, and loved.
That is a gift they will carry with them long after the last song was played, and one we will never forget.
